As a child I grew up in Costa Rica due to my father’s work in the development cooperation. Learning Spanish and English in a playful manner enabled me to benefit from cultural diversity from an early age onwards.
Throughout school and university, I was always eager for intercultural exchange: starting with a year at a US high school with an ASSIST scholarship, followed by several summer camps of the peace education NGO CISV, concluding with university studies in psychology and human resource management in the Netherlands, Spain and the UK.
During my master studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), I organized speaker events and conferences for the LSE UN Society. An internship with Médicins du Monde gave me the chance to experience the daily working life in an NGO. My years in London set the foundation for my interest in international organisations and contributing to civil society.
Driven by the motivation to use my knowledge of five languages continuously, I joined the Human Resources department at Airbus, the European aerospace company. During eight years at Airbus, I mostly designed and implemented team development activities for international teams across Europe. In addition, I led a network of 50 internal facilitators.
I qualified through advanced training in NLP, Systemic Leadership and as Consultant for Organisational Development at denkmodell in Berlin.
I want my experiences to help create better connections in the corporate world and civil society.
